KARACHI - The price of flour has been raised by Rs2 in all Utility Stores across the country while the flourmills are not supplying flour to utility stores in spite of increasing rate. According to Utility Store sources, after the increase of flour in bazaars the govt has also hiked the prices of flour in utility stores.Utility store in Karachi increased 10 kg bag of flour by Rs 20 and now it is Rs 330 while Lahore Utility Store sold 20 kg bag of flour at cost of 570 during Ramazan but after Ramazan they increase with the cost of 50 rupees and it is now Rs 620. According to Utility Store administration, the consumers are facing acute problems due to unavailability of flour in store after Eid. Meanwhile they also claimed that flourmills are not supplying flour in spite of hike prices.Meanwhile, all the libraries in Karachi’s Lyari area are being streamlined on modern lines. This was announced by the Administrator, District Municipal Corporation, South, Muhammad Raisi here on Tuesday. He further stated that these are being converted into model libraries. Raisi said that besides provision of books, computer centres and English language centres are also being established. He stated that the poor and needy students can benefit from these facilities.
