PTI urges govt for dialogues with militants

PESHAWAR – Opposing the proposed military operation in tribal belt, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Khyber Agency chapter, has urged the government to follow the way of dialogue and negotiation and involve public representatives from the region in this process.   They said it would be positive step for durable peace in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas. “Fata has been converted into a war zone during the last five years as a large number of innocent people including women and children lost their lives in the on going military operations especially in Khyber Agency, PTI representative in Khyber Agency Javed Afridi said while addressing a news conference here at Peshawar Press Club on Tuesday. He added that thousand of people became homeless and compelled to live a miserable life in different IDPs makeshift campuses across the province. He further said that these dislocated people lost their properties, businesses and all living hoods in the insurgency, while on the other hand government was creating problems for them by conducting military operations in their respective areas. The tribesmen had rendered matchless scarifies during the independence movement and creation of the country, but unfortunately Fata was neglected in every regime, he lamented.Afridi called for dialogue and negotiation with the miscreants by involving all the stakeholders from Fata to establish and ensure sustainable peace in the violence hit region. Durable peace and tranquility could never be established in the region by using force, he warned. The only way is to take in confidence all the disgruntled and rebels through holding talks with them in the best interest of the country, as the anti-state conspirators were busy in their heinous designs to brake the country, he maintained.
