Islamabad- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to expedite the relief efforts for rain affected people.

A detailed report about flood situation has been presented to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He also directed NDMA to ensure provision of relief goods to the rain-hit people. According to the report, 38 people have died while another 50 injured. Floods and rains mostly affected Sialkot, Narowal, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala and Faisalabad regions where deaths and injuries have been reported. Pakistan Army is continuing relief efforts in the affected areas. It is also informed that concerned authorities have been maintaining a close eye on the floods situation in rivers.
