Deputy District Education Officer Sheikh Amjad Ali said that implementation of Punjab School Reforms Roadmap has substantially improved education sector.

Talking to the media men here, he said that to promote quality education highly educated teachers were recruited on merit in the Thal. He said that the Punjab government was spending billions of rupees on promotion of quality education in the province.

He said that data collection process was being digitalised for making school reforms programme more effective. Sheikh Amjad said that the provincial government enrollment drive would prove a milestone to get each and every child of the province into school. “Our target is zero children out of school,” he added.

SELF-EMPLOYMENT PROJECT: The Quaid-e-Millat Foundation (QMF) Jharkil with the assistance of USAID has launched a self employment project for the residents of the Thal.

The project will provide skill to the women and men of for-flung areas of the Thal. According to QMF Chairman Malik Gulzar Ahmad Jara, the foundation is providing skill to jobless persons. He said that QMF would continue struggle to support the needy persons of the area.
