KARACHI

Consul General of Switzerland in Karachi Emil Wyss has said that there is potential to improve the volume of bilateral trade between Pakistan and Switzerland, which currently stood at around $748.80 million.

Talking to KCCI office-bearers and Managing Committee members during his visit to Karachi Chamber, Swiss Consul General added, “I am very happy to share that your country is on the radar of the Swiss Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). And later this year a multi-sector delegation of these SMEs will visit Pakistan”.

Swiss Consul General appreciated the positive contribution of KCCI members for the progress and prosperity of Karachi city’s economy, which is essential for Pakistan.

Earlier, while welcoming the Swiss Consul General, President KCCI, Abdullah Zaki expressed gratitude to Swiss government for supporting Pakistan in securing European Union’s GSP Plus status and hoped to receive similar assistance & cooperation in future as well.

Vice Chairman Businessmen Group, Anjum Nisar, Senior Vice President KCCI, Muffasar Atta Malik, Vice President KCCI, Muhammad Idrees, Chairman Diplomatic Affairs Sub-Committee, Abdul Jabbar Dalal, Former President KCCI, Majyd Aziz and KCCI Managing Committee members attended the meeting.
