ISLAMABAD: The United States Embassy in Islamabad Thursday clarified that it remains open for normal operations per its regular schedule. Commenting on media reports stating that the US embassy has changed its operating status, spokesperson of the Embassy said, "we have been carefully monitoring the demonstrations in Islamabad; however, we have remained and continue to remain open for normal operations per our regular schedule."–Staff Reporter

he visas of 13,000 pilgrims have been stamped who were going from Lahore to perform Haj under government scheme. Addressing a Haj training programme here on Sunday, Lahore Haj Director Saeed Ahmad Malik said that flight schedule would be posted to the pilgrims in one or two days. He said that first Haj flight would leave for Saudi Arabia on August 28 from Lahore. Pilgrims should reach the airport five hours early on the day of departure.

Ministry of Religious Affairs Haj training former Coordinator Saeed Faroogh Aftab Zaidi said that pilgrims should get all necessary information about Haj rituals and travelling.
