NOOR PUR THAL-The villagers staged a protest against the worst condition and subsequent traffic jams on Noorpur Thal-Pehlawains Road which leads to Khushab here the other day.
The residents of different nearby villages including Tehsil Bar Association (TBA) president Raja Muhammad Ashraf Hayat, social workers - Malik Ali Raza, Sultan Ali Awan, Mushtaq Hussain Borana and other notables protested against the miserable condition of the road. The villagers said that they have to depend on this road as the only way that leads towards tehsil Noorpur Thal and onward to Khushab. There are more than 200,000 residents o the adjacent at least 180 villages facing difficulties due to the worst condition of the road. The worst condition of the road and subsequent traffic jams are creating great problems for the commuters.
Talking to media, they said that hundreds and thousands of people are affected due to this shabby road on daily basis, adding that the public have to cover the distance of minutes in hours. The villagers have urged Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Sargodha Commissioner Division and the Khushab DCO to take serious notice of the situation and ensure early construction of the road.
