MOHMAND AGENCY - At least 18 militants were killed and 20 others injured on Sunday in an intensified operation of the security forces against Taliban in Mohmand Agency. Meanwhile, five security men, kidnapped by the militants, have also been recovered during the operation. According to details, the security forces targeted the militants suspected hideouts in Davizai, Enarzai and Miangan areas of Pendyali and Ambar tehsils with jet fighter planes and gunship helicopters. As a result of the operation, around 18 militants were killed and 20 others injured. After the operation, the security forces took control of various important places, which had been under the militants influence previously. Moreover, five security men, kidnapped by the militants on January 15 2009, from Mamad Gutt, were recovered during the operation. They freed security men are Noorullah, Haq Nawaz, Dost Mohammad, Din Mohammad and Gul Mohammad.
