LAHORE - Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hassan has condemned the bomb blasts on ANP procession in Temargarh and expressed deep grief over the loss of precious lives. In a press statement issued here Monday, he prayed for those killed in the bomb blasts. Munawar Hassan urged the ANP not to make the Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa an issue as a lot of people in the province had their reservations on that. If the ANP tried to make this non issue an issue, there was bound to be a strong reaction and the ANP alone would be the loser. He also condemned the blasphemy of a Hassan Abdal flying company to print the names of Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on toilet paper. He called upon the government to immediately arrest all those involved in blasphemy, award them deterrent punishment and wind up the company. PA Speaker grieved over deaths Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan has condemned bomb blasts in Peshawer and Temragarh and has expressed grief over the loss of lives. He stated here Monday that anti state elements can not bow down the nation through nefarious activities.He said terrorists wanted to destabilize the country acting under a conspiracy against democracy and the sovereignty of Pakistan. Ultimately terrorists will be defeated, he added. Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood condemning the bomb blasts in ANPs procession at Timergirah and Peshawar has said that killers of innocent people are terrorists. In a press statement issued on Monday, he said that war against terror would continue till the complete elimination of terrorist elements from our country. He said number of terrorist elements was very small and the government would not bow before them and fight them with till their elimination. Crushed to death A 45-year-old labourer, father of five, was crushed to death by a speedy vehicle in Kahna police precincts on Monday. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Zulfiqar, Kacha village. Police investigators said the deceased was on the way to home on his bicycle when a speedy wagon hit him. As a result, he succumbed to injuries on the spot. The driver of the vehicle, however, managed to flee from the crime scene. Police handed over the body to the heirs of the deceased. Meanwhile two bodies were found from two different areas of the city. An 80-year-old, seemed drug addict was found from Lorry Adda Police area while another man was found dead from Mehmood Booti in Baghbanpura police limits. The bodies were removed to the city morgue for autopsy. Further investigations were underway.
