'N' to continue Opp's role: Nawaz

ISLAMABAD PML-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that his party would not compromise on national interest. He said his party would continue playing constructive role of the Opposition on issue-to-issue basis rather than rejoining the Federal Government. Addressing partys Central Parliamentary Committee at a meeting here at the Punjab House before the presidential address to the joint sitting of the Parliament on Monday, he said no one would dare breach Constitution in future. He was of the view that position taken by his party on the constitutional reforms package was in best interest of the country despite severe criticism in media over PML-Ns stance. He expressed his gratitude to Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Reforms (PCCR) Senator Mian Raza Rabbani and committee members for addressing the concerns of the PML-N on constitutional reforms package. He said that the committee had done a great job by striking down the unlawful clauses incorporated into the 1973 constitution by the former military dictators including former President Gen (Retd) Pervez Musharraf. No one would be allowed to breach the Constitution in future, he said, adding the PML-N would keep its pressure on the Government to ensure good governance to tackle the menace of corruption from national institutions.
