Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani opened the debate on the 18th amendment in the National Assembly on Tuesday. He praised the political parties for their contribution to the 18th amendment. "Today, the country is united toward undoing the wrongs of dictators," Gilani said. "Our aim is to strengthen the state's institutions and in turn strengthen democracy in the country," he added.
