KARACHI  - The Caretaker Chief Minister (CM) Sindh, Justice (Retd) Zahid Qurban Alvi, has said that the provincial government would take every step for ensuring the conduct of fair, free and transparent general elections.

He was talking to an eight-member delegation of the Bohra community which called on him at the CM House here on Friday.

The caretaker CM pointed out that for the maintenance of law and order in the province and especially in the city of Karachi, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, and Director General of Pakistan Rangers Sindh have been given a free hand so that they could ensure maintenance of law and order at every cost.

The delegation of the Bohra community apprised the caretaker CM of their problems. He assured that all the genuine problems would be resolved.
