Out to play

It is surprising to note that Punjab’s caretakers are indulging in pleasure the minute they come into office. They are more concerned with reviving Basant instead of focusing on elections in the coming six weeks. The mere provision of restrictive rule on kite flying would not ensure that it is followed and this would once again endanger many lives. Does Punjab have enough police to run around looking for culprits, who will be selling the killer threads? The caretakers ought not to fritter away their energy on chasing kites but should be focusing on myriad other problems existing in the province. The over enthusiastic caretakers of Punjab are expected to make some positive changes that can maneuver the sinking country out of the rough winds of destruction.
