ROs ask Imran, Nisar, Hanif to file needed papers

ISLAMABAD - The returning officers (ROs) on Friday raised objections over the three bigwigs contesting general elections from the electoral constituencies in district Rawalpindi.
The RO directed PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to produce his educational credentials verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) latest by the coming Sunday. Cambridge University has cleared the certificates of Khan while HEC is yet to verify his degrees. Moreover, Chairman PTI Imran Khan is asked to produce the documents about his assets and wealth by Sunday.  PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi, who is facing mega drug scam and is being probed by the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), is also asked to fulfil relevant requirements. Considering the nature of serious charges against him, it is expected that Hanif Abbasis’ nomination papers would not be accepted.
