LAHORE – Three-day trauma course for healthcare providers concluded at King Edward Medical University on Friday. Vice Chancellor KEMU Prof Faisal Masud distributed certificates, booklets, CDs and gifts among the participants.  Trauma Course Chairman Prof Arshad Cheema said that one person die because of trauma after every three minutes which was unfortunate. With rising number of road accidents and gun related violence, trauma has emerged as number one killer in Pakistan, he said, adding, purpose of organizing such event is to reduce this ratio. Director trauma course Dr Amir Riaz Bhutta said that every medical professional should attend trauma course. He said that there was need to make trauma course compulsory for every doctor and medical student in Pakistan.  Incharge trauma course team Dr Azhar Bashir said, “if we manage to save even one life after training the participant it will be big success.
