SADIQABAD - Consumers have complained against the "substandard and less weight" commodities particularly flour and other eatables being provided at the local Utility Stores.

Local consumers alleged that substandard flour was being supplied at these Utility Stores by the mills owners thereby spreading various diseases in the areas.

They added that these eatables were also being provided less than the weight they pay for. Sadiqabad citizens including Amjad, Dilbar, Musawar, Umar Gul, Akram, Qamar, Rizwan and Kaleem told the newsmen that the Utility Stores administration was selling substandard daily use items at exorbitant prices.

The citizens said that the poor visit these stores to get some relief but the stores administration with connivance of the mills owners were fleecing the people by providing them with substandard wheat flour.

They demanded that the Bahawalpur commissioner and the Rahim Yar Khan assistant commissioner should form teams to ensure quality and quantity of flour and to stop the provision of unhygienic commodities to the citizens.
