Four newborns died in District Headquarters Hospital due to strike observed by doctors, paramedical staff and nurses here on Tuesday.

The four infants were identified as Asad (1 day), Amir (1 hour) Ahmed (2 hours) and Zafar (1 hour). Moreover, the condition of two other babies Rida and Akhtar has been stated to be critical in its nursery ward.

Besides, more than 200 patients compelled to move from DHQ Hospital to various private hospitals on seeing adverse situation emerged by doctors and paramedical staff.

The doctors announced to observe two-hour strike against PML-N leaders’ behaviour. On the other hand, MNA Chaudhry Hamid Hameed, MNA Dr Zulfiquar Bhatti, MPA Dr Nadia Aziz, MPA Abdul Razzaq Dhillon would hold open court in DHQ Hospital on daily basis to hear public grievances regarding to health and medication, sources said. Meanwhile, all efforts for reconciliation among young doctors and political leadership went in vain. However, DHQ Hospital sources said the deaths occurred due to premature birth and home delivery cases.

Outlaw brought back through Interpol

Interpol held an outlaw carrying a Rs200,000 head money in Dubai and handed him over to the Punjab police. The proclaimed offender identified as Imran alias Mani Tarar was wanted by the Sargodha police in heinous crimes like murder and attempt to murder. CIA police took him into its custody and shifted him from Islamabad International Airport to Sargodha.
