LAHORE - Corps Commander Lahore Lt General Sadiq Ali met Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif yesterday and discussed overall situation of implementation on National Action Plan.

During the meeting, the leadership decided to make coordinated security mechanism and civil military joint coordination center, which is already working under National Action Plan, more effective.

The meeting stressed upon the need of coordinated and organised action against terrorism especially in the wake of recent suicide attack in Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

Progress on the operations continuing across the province was reviewed in the meeting. Besides that, the duo decided to continue action against terrorist networks and their facilitators through strong collaboration between Army, Pak Rangers, CTD and police. The meeting concluded with the determination of making the efforts against terrorism in Punjab more effective with the cooperation of all concerned.
