FIA arrests two human smugglers

PESHAWAR - Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two human smugglers including Afghan national near Bacha Khan Chowk on Tuesday.
FIA sources said that a resident of Peshawar named as Jehanzib registered a complaint with FIA that his brother was charged Rs 0.6 million rupees in exchange of reaching to Germany.
He informed that when his brother reached Sofia city of Turkey via Iran, he was forced to cross the border where he died due to unknown reason.
The complainant informed that they spent 0.5 million for bringing his dead body to Pakistan. Following the information of the complainant FIA team raided the office of illegal travel agents in Bacha Khan Chowak area and arrested two smugglers including an Afghan national.
They were identified as Darwesh resident of Mathra and Barat Khan, resident of Afghanistan. The arrested persons were shifted to lock up for further interrogation. It is pertinent to mention that illegal business of travel agents has gained momentum in Peshawar city due to lack of proper check and growing ratio of unemployment. The recent surge of immigrants from Afghanistan, Syria and Iran has further attracted the youth to travel illegally without any documents.
