Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has arrived in Kabul on a one day tour. Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, KP Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and National Security Advisor Nasir Janjua are accompanying the premier.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani received Shahid Khaqan from the airport. Guard of honour also presented to the prime minister.
Both the leaders will discuss the matters of mutual interest including regional security, Pak-Afghan border management and cross-border terrorism.
Earlier this week a high-level Pakistani delegation has reached Afghanistan to hold talks with Afghan authorities on the Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS).
Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua is heading the delegation accompanies with civil and military officials including Director General Military Operations Maj Gen Shamshad Mirza.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Dr.Faisal on his Twitter handle has confirmed the arrival of the delegation in Kabul.
On March 17-18th Pakistan's National Security Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Nasser Janjua in separate meetings met with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Dr Abdullah Abdullah.
During the trip, Ashraf Ghani has invited Pakistan's prime minister to "initiate state to state comprehensive dialogue" for the restoration of peace and solidarity in the region.
