ISLAMABAD - The guests of a five-star hotel were forced to evacuate as the hotel administration received a bomb threat, on Thursday, which was later declared as a hoax call. According to details, an unidentified man called the hotel administration around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, saying that there was a bomb planted in the hotel. The hotel administration informed the local area police about the call. Following this information heavy contingent of the police and the bomb disposal squad rushed to the hotel. SP security and the Station House Officer of Secretariat Police Station, Inspector Hakim Khan, also rushed to the scene. Bomb disposal teams accompanied by trained police dogs searched all the rooms of the hotel and declared the hotel clear after two hours. The call turned out to be a hoax, as no explosive device was discovered in the hotel premises, said a police officer. Talking to TheNation, area SHO confirmed, The call turned to be a hoax as after two hours of operation we have found nothing and the hotel is declared clear. Meanwhile, Wajahat Huss-ain, security officer stated that it was just a mock exercise as it was a routine bomb drill. However, he failed to give any justification for the inconvenience suffered by the guests of the hotel as a result of that mock exercise of the situation.
