KARACHI - Two more PPP ministers were inducted into the Sindh cabinet on Friday, increasing its members to 41. After President Asif Ali Zardaris approval, PPP lawmakers Nadeem Ahmed Bhutto and Engineer Sadiq Memon were sworn in as ministers. Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad administered oath to the newly-inducted ministers during a ceremony at the Governors House. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah reshuffled some the portfolios of cabinet ministers. The portfolios of newly-inducted ministers were also announced. According to a notification, Sadiq Memon will hold portfolio of Prison Department while Nadeem Ahmed will hold portfolio of the Katchi Abadi and Spatial Development Department while the Archive Department was allotted to Muhammad Rafiq Engineer. Sadiq Memons elder brother Abdul Jalil Memon, who was the former minister, died in a road accident near Thatta about a year ago. Nadeem Ahmed was elected as an MPA in 2008 from the constituency of Lyari-Kiamari. His father has been associated with the party for a long time. Earlier, four ministers, two each from PML-F and PML-F, were inducted in the Sindh cabinet while two advisers were also given status of ministers. With the induction of two more ministers, the number of Sindh cabinet ministers has been reached 41. Currently, 29 ministers and an adviser from the PPP are serving as Sindh cabinet ministers. These include Pir Mazharul Haq Senior Education and Literacy Minister, Dr Zulfiqar Mirza Senior Works and Services and Forest Minister, Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Agriculture Minister, Manzoor Ahmed Wasan Home Minister, Ayaz Soomro Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah Finance Minister, Mir Nadir Khan Magsi Food Minister, Agha Siraj Durrani Local Government Minister, Jam Saifullah Khan Dharejo Irrigation Minister, Muhammad Sajid Jokhio Zakat and Ushr Minister, Akhtar Jadoon Transport Minister, Jam Mehtab Dahar Revenue Minister, Abdul Haq Anti-corruption Minister, Mukesh Kumar Excise and Taxation Minister, Sassui Palejo Culture Minister, Shazia Mari Power Minister, Nargis ND Khan Social Welfare Minister, Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto Womens Development Minister, Daya Raam Wildlife Minister and Makhdoom Jameeluz Zama Inter-provincial Coordination Minister while Sharmila Farooqi Adviser to CM for Media also has status of minister. PML-F members are Jam Madad Ali Khan Youth Affairs Minister, Dr Muhammad Rafiq Aqua Minister, while Maudlin Sheen Adviser for Mines and Mineral and Empties Ahmed Sheikh Adviser for Information Technology. PML-Q members are Muhammad Shahryar Khan Mahar Environment and Alternative Energy Minister, Muhammad Ali Malkani Tourism Minister, and Syed Aijaz Shah Shirazi Adviser for Rural Development and Haleem Sheikh Adviser for Sports. ANPs Amir Nawab is serving as Minister for Labour and NPPs Mir Abid Hussan Jatoi holds portfolio of livestock department.
