LAHORE – Punjab Education Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman has said the government is giving high priority to women’s education and four new universities are being set up for them in Faisalabad, Sialkot, Bahawalpur and Multan.

Talking to a delegation of girl students on Sunday, Mujtaba said the government had set up an endowment fund with Rs10 billion for giving scholarships to talented and deserving students. He said the government had also provided a sum of Rs10 billion to promote education among the marginalised strata of society and 1.5 million deserving students in 36 districts had benefitted from this initiative.
