QUETTA - Two oil tankers were set on fire by armed men in Khuzdar district, some 360 km southeast of Quetta, on Sunday.

According to Levies Force sources, two oil tankers were heading towards Quetta from Karachi when unidentified armed men opened fire on them at Ornach area on National Highway.

The attackers managed to intercept the tankers and set them on fire after dismounting the drivers. As a result, both the tankers caught fire and were completely gutted.

However, no loss of life occurred in the attack. The attackers fled from the scene after the incident. On getting information, local administration rushed to the site and started a search to trace out the culprits.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, security forces recovered 60 kilograms explosive material in Sui area of Dera Bugti and defused them.
