Inter-provincial car lifter gang busted

NAWABSHAH  - Police arrested members of inter-province gang of car lifters, recovering three stolen cars and fake identity cards of agencies from them.
Being tipped off, Qazi Ahmed Police intercepted three cars coming from Hyderabad. The car drivers, however, increased the speed and crushed two pedestrians. Later police blocked the road and arrested 13 accused including five women identified as Hamid, Sheema Bibi, Najma, Aamina, Asghar Ali, Ahmed Nawaz, Daniyal, Asif, Rafaqat Hussain, Abdul Khaliq, Shabana and Shamim. Police impounded three cars, recovered mobile phones and cash Rs48,000 from their custody. Police also recovered fake identity cards of law enforcing agencies from them.
Station House Office Eidan Siyal told that police action was initiated on secret information and the criminals tried to crush policemen under their vehicles. The number plates of the cars were also fake, he said adding that criminals are members of inter-province gang and involved in car snatching from Tando Allahyar, Chakwal, Lahore, Azad Kashmir, Hyderabad and other parts of the country.
Meanwhile, Sindh Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Asadullah Bhutto received injuries when his car was hit by a truck on the National Highway near Nawabshah. Asadullah and his driver were rushed to Taluka Hospital Sakrand for initial treatment and later shifted to Hyderabad where they are stated to be out of danger.
Meanwhile in Thatta, local people of Mirpursakro Town foiled an attempt of dacoity at a lady doctors’ clinic and arrested two culprits the other day.
According to details, the men came in a car and after barging into the clinic, tried to rob the lady doctor and patients. Relatives of the patients and neighbours resisted them and apprehended two culprits while the third one managed to escape.
The arrested were identified as Tufail s/o Ali Muhammad Malah and Sattar Kachhi s/o Abdullah Kachhi. Both were handed over to police.
