KPK forms working group to monetise govt servants’ perks, privileges

Peshawar - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has constituted a working group to consider monetisation of perks and privileges of government servants.
The working group comprises Sirajul Haq, Senior Minister for Finance as Chairman while Yousaf Ayub Khan, Minister for C&W, Sharam Khan Tarakai, Minister for Agriculture and IT, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), Secretary Establishment Department, Secretary, Administration Department, Secretary Law Department, Secretary Transport Department, Secretary C&W Department, Saleem Jhagra, Ex Federal Secretary, Zia ur Rehman, Ex-Secretary Finance KP, Nouman Wazir, known Industrialist, Dr Yousaf Sarwar, President KPK Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Noor ul Haq, ex-secretary environment KPK will be members.
Terms of Reference of the Group shall be a study of the Federal government monetization policy, to learn lessons from their mistakes if any, monetisation of transport facilities provided to the government servants as per their entitlement, monetisation of housing facilities provided to the government servants and mode of disposal of housing units and transport rendered surplus as a consequence of monetisation.
The Group may co-opt any member it considers appropriate for carrying out the objectives of this committee, says a notification issued by Finance Department Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Tobacco Board cashier demand restoration of job
Former cashier of the Pakistan Tobacco Board Aleem Mahmood has demanded the government to restore his job after his dismissal in charges of corruption.
Addressing a press conference here at the Peshawar Press club on Monday, he said that Internal Audit officer of Pakistan Tobbaco Board Sardar Hussain forced him for committing Rs10 million corruptions and the enquiry held for this purpose proved both of us guilty in corruption scam.
He said that after the dismissal, the job of Sardar Hussain was restored while he is still jobless. He said that every citizen is equal in the eyes of law.
He said if the administration of Pakistan Tobbaco board can restore Sardar Hussain why he was dismissed from his job. He appealed to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to treat both the employees equally.
