Sikh trader shot dead in Peshawar, minorities’ stage protest

Peshawar- Unidentified gunmen killed a Sikh trader at a shop in Kosh-hal Bazaar in Peshawar city today, officials said.

An official of local police said two people riding a motorcyclist stopped in front of the shop, opened fire Sikh trader and fled. He said the people shifted injured man to Lady Reading Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Sikh community first staged protest outside Lady Reading Hospital then they blocked GT Road by burning tyres. The protesters condemned the killing and demanded of the government to take immediate action against killers. They warned that if the government didn’t arrest killers, then they would continue with their protest. The protesters said Muslim traders would also join their agitation.
