The Punjab Highway Patrol Police DG Khan Region claimed to have arrested 8 proclaimed offenders and 34 offenders across the Division in July.

Punjab Highway Patrol SP Kefayat Ullah Bajwa disclosed this in a press briefing here the other day.

He said that the police also recovered 1 gun (12 bore), 1 pistol (30 bore), 1 magazine of bullets, 5 cartridges, 70-kg bhang, 102 liters liquor, 20 liters smuggled petrol and one 2-D Toyota car from their possession.

He said that that they Punjab Highway Police also helped 2,569 drivers on roads and 95 injured persons of 62 road accidents were shifted to hospitals and 87 persons were given first aid on the spot.

He said that the police also taken 11 motorcycles into custody under section 550 and 197 motorcycles were taken into custody under section 115 during crackdown on non-registered vehicles.
