ISLAMABAD - Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited flood-affected areas of Chital on Wednesday and lauded the tireless efforts of FWO, FC KP, Army troops and Army Aviation, who are working round-the-clock in rescue and relief operations in the district.

Upon arrival, the COAS was given detailed briefing by the local military commanders on rescue and relief efforts by the Pakistan Army, FWO and Frontier Corps.

The army chief spent sometime with the flood affectees and assured them continuation of relief activities by army till situation is fully restored. The COAS directed FWO to keep the communication infrastructure of Chitral with rest of the country open.
