Punjab Governor Rafiq Rajwana said that coordination between the lawyers’ community and the government was being promoted to ensure speedy justice in the society.

Addressing a ceremony held by the High Court Bar Association, he said that visits to the bar associations would be paid. He said that for the development and prosperity of Southern Punjab like other areas of Punjab, the government will play a key role. He said that junior lawyers should present themselves in the courts with complete preparation so that complainants could get relief.

He said that a proper welfare funds will be established for the elderly lawyers’ medical treatment and their families. He added that he was completely aware of the lawyers’ problems and for their solution steps were being taken.

He said that the doors of Governor House were always open for the lawyers, and added that along with the completion of Bahawalpur High Court Bar Association’s Library building, a water filtration plan will also be installed.

In the ceremony, Punjab Minister Cooperative Malik Iqbal Channar, Sardar Khalid Waran and Shoaib Awaisi were also present.

High Court Bar Association President Khair Muhammad Bhudeer praised the abilities of the governor as a lawyer. He said that the latter was a high level law expert and he had never made compromise on truth and principles.
