GILGIT - Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Zonal Gilgit-Baltistan Sayd Abid Iqbal has resigned from the party basic membership on Wednesday. He made the announcement during a press conference in the Gilgit Press Club. He said that MQM Chief Altaf Husain’s recent speech clearly showed that he was working for the enemies of Pakistan. “The derogatory remarks of Altaf Husain against the brave forces of the country have exposed his real face,” he added.  “We cannot tolerate a person who was passing derogatory remarks against the state and its security force,” he added.

He appealed to all MQM G-B workers to resign from the party membership and prove themselves as real patriots because Altaf Husain’s language was not of a Pakistani.
