Rawalpindi - The staffers of a petrol station caught a gang of robbers and handed them over to police in Mandra area.
According to sources and eyewitnesses, four robbers including two ladies came at Bawli Petrol Pump and asked for filling the tank of cab (KKP-228). Meanwhile, one of the ladies stole cash from the box of the cashier and all of them sped away towards Gujar Khan.
However, the filling station staff started chasing the fleeing robbers and caught them on main GT Road. Later, the accused were handed over to police for further investigation, sources added. The driver was identified as Jasim son of Arif, a resident of Karachi.
Meanwhile, Jatli police has yet to arrest two people booked on charges of storming into Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) Aahdi Descon Engineering Plant and abusing the staff working there despite passage of many days, sources said. The case was lodged with Police Station Jalti on complaint of PPL ADEP Admin Manager Maj (Retd) Zahid Hussain. In the complaint, the applicant stated that two persons namely Adnan and Raziq along with unknown accomplices entered the plant forcefully from main gate and started abusing the workers and engineers, besides kicking them out from the plant. Taking action, police registered a case against the accused and started investigation.
SHO PS Jatli Haji Lehrasib, when contacted, confirmed the development. He said that the accused would be arrested soon.
Responding to a query, he said police had made adequate security arrangements for the forefingers working in the plant.
