Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has denied all media reports which said that he would be PTI’s nomination for the post of National Assembly Speaker.

“Media should refrain from spreading such news unless they are officially communicated as no such decision was taken in the meeting,” the PTI leader said while talking to the media after PTI’s parliamentary party meeting, chaired by Imran Khan.

“If such a decision is made, our central media cell will inform you and that would be official,” Qureshi said. The MNA-elect said that opposition parties, including PPP, PML-N and MMA, had joined hands over PTI’s popularity.

“PTI Chairman Imran Khan considers the opposition to be very weak as they joined hands fearing PTI’s dominance,” he said, adding that the party emerged as the single largest party of Pakistan after the parliamentary poll.

“We are in a position to form a government in the centre with the support of independent candidates,” he said, adding that PTI has also representation in all provinces.
