Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad has stated on Thursday thaf if the former PM, Nawaz Sharif wants to return to Pakistan, his passport will be issued in a single day, by the current government.
Sheikh Rasheed went on to say that it is understood that Nawaz Sharif has to face his court cases if he plans to return to the country.
Nawaz Sharif’s passport was expired in February this year and the government was ready to issue important travel documents, he added.
He went on to say that it was the first-ever incident in country’s history that a convict was permitted to travel abroad on medical grounds.
He concluded by saying that Nawaz Sharif did not visit any hospital in London for medical treatment.
