KP, Fata exempted from RGST

PESHAWAR Khyber Pukhtunkhwa has been exempted from Reformed General Sales Tax (GST) for two years whereas Federally Administered Areas have been exempted from this tax completely. A resolution in this regard will be passed in the ongoing session of the provincial assembly after which proper announcement will be made. An announcement from Cabinet Division made separately for KP and FATA stated Reformed General Sales Tax(RGST) will be imposed in KP after two years whereas FATA is exempted completely. According to the decision all the traders and industries from all the districts will enjoy this exemption in the province for the stipulated period. The decision has been taken on the request of provincial government and elected members of parliament from tribal areas. The proper and final announcement will be made after the provincial assembly passes the resolution for exemption in its ongoing session.
