FC kills three miscreants near Turbat



QUETTA: Three miscreants were killed and two arrested on Wednesday following an exchange of fire with the Frontier Corps (FC) in Kech district.
According to a Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman, on a tip-off, FC Makran Scouts raided a house owned by Rasool Bakhsh in the Gebon area, some 20 kilometers from Turbat city. Seeing the FC personnel, the accused opened fire on them. On a forceful retaliation from the troops, three attackers were killed on the spot and two others arrested.
“The man identified as Rasool Bakhsh was involved in making homemade hand grenades and remote-controlled bombs,” the FC spokesman said. Their bodies were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital Turbat where they were identified as Hakim Shahsawar, Rasool Bakhsh and Maula Bakhsh. The Frontier Corps did not disclose the names of the two arrested attackers.
On the other hand, the family sources of the three victims accused the FC of targeting innocent persons. “The deceased were sleeping in a room when the FC personnel raided their house and opened indiscriminate fire on them without any warning,” they said, adding that the deceased were totally armless.
Meanwhile, in another incident, the Frontier Corps recovered heavy quantity of weapons and explosive material from an area of Dera Murad Jamali of Naseerabad. The FC spokesman said, acting on a tip-off, they raided Piropoll area and recovered 5kg explosive material, a sub-machine gun, four magazines, 91 rounds and a remote-controlled device. The FC personnel arrested two perpetrators, however, two succeeded in escaping from the scene. Frontier Corps Inspectors General Ubaidullah Khan appreciated the FC personnel for their brisk action and asked them to continue their efforts until the miscreants were eradicated from Balochistan.
