RAWALPINDI  - Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) Ameer and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) head Maulana Sami-ur-Rehman has said that US drones have now started targeting urban areas after targeting innocent people in tribal belt, which would not be tolerated at any cost.

Besides, the sectarian clashes have been causing irreparable damage to Pakistan. “The people should not fall in sectarian hatred,” said Sami while talking to media after attending the Wafaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia Central Shura held at Jamia Hanfia at Purana Qilla here on Thursday.

The session was also attended by JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, WMP General Secretary Maulana Hanif Jalandhry and Markazi Majlis-e-Aama members Maulana Abdul Majid Ludhyanvi and many other Ulema belonging to different schools of thought.

Maulana Sami-ul-Haq said that the Ulema always tried to promote peace and harmony in the country. He said that US drones in urban areas after tribal belt and sectarianism have been posing a great threat to security of Pakistan.

Responding to a query, the JUI-S head replied that the nation should forge unity among its ranks to avert terrorism.

The Muslim Ummah and Pakistan were moving towards destruction because of sectarianism, said JUI-F Chief Fazal-ur-Rehman adding that a joint consensus over Pindi tragedy has been emerged between Ulema of all schools of thought.

He said that international players were engaged in sowing the seeds of hatred among Muslims. He said that some unseen hands wanted to ignite people over religious issues. He hailed the role of WMP in cooling down the temperature after Pindi bloodshed.

All the Ulema were in touch with the government while Mili Yakjehti Council was also pondering over the ordinance implemented in Gilgit-Biltistan, Fazl said while answering a question of media men.

Earlier, Maulana Hanif Jalandhry, while announcing a joint communiqué and talking to media, said that all Ulema joined their heads to discuss the sadistic Raja Bazaar incident in which the seminary students and devotees martyred while the mosque, market and seminary were burnt. During the meeting, the incident was denounced vehemently. It was demanded from the government to bring all the culprits to book. The attendees of meeting also urged the government to make public the findings of Judicial Commission (JC).

In a joint communiqué, the government was asked to craft affective laws to avoid sectarian clash in future. It was also informed on the occasion that a supreme committee has been constituted headed by Maulana Abdul Majid Ludhyanvi duty of which to contact the all schools of thought to promote religious harmony and brotherhood.
