Five persons including a woman were killed in different incidents of enmity over the past 24 hours.

According to details, In Jhang, a youth killed his stepmother over a petty family dispute in ward No-3 Bhuwan. Anjam Javed, son of Shabir Javed opened indiscriminate firing on his mother, killing her on the spot. As per details, Shabir Javed had four children including Anjam Javed from his first wife. Later on, he got second marriage with Parveen Bibi at which Anjam Javed was very upset and often quarrelled with his father over the issue. The enraged youth fired indiscriminate gunshots on his stepmother, killing her on the spot. After autopsy, the police handed over the dead body to the family and on the application of Shabir Javed registered a case against Anjam.

In another mishap which took place near Trimmu Headworks, a man was crushed to death. As per details, Matloob Ahmed, a resident of Chailaywala tried to get on to a running bus but unfortunately slipped and fell down on the road. In the meanwhile a truck coming from the rear crushed him to death on the spot.

In Daska, local poultry farm owner Muhammad Yousaf and watchman Naqeeb Khan were shot dead at the farm by unidentified armed accused in village Bhaadeywala late the other night.

According to FIR, both the slain persons were present at poultry farm when six armed accused stormed there and fired a volley of bullets, killing both of them on the spot.

Slain poultry farm owner Yousaf was a resident of Pasrur while the slain watchman Naqeeb Khan belonged to Karak District. The police said that old enmity could be the reason behind the double murder incident. The Bambaanwala Police have registered a case.

Meanwhile in Sheikhupura, a man, said to be father of three minor children, was shot dead by his rival in village Haji Pura in the remit of Ferozewala Police the other day. According to details, the accused including Amanat and Aman Ullah intercepted their rival Jameel when he was going to his fields and shot him dead. The motive behind the murder is stated to be a land dispute. The Ferozewala Police are looking into the matter.
