ISLAMABAD - Karachi Blues were in trouble against Peshawar as they were at 46-4 in 14 overs in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2013-2014 fifth round Group-I match here at Arbab Niaz Stadium Peshawar on Thursday. Earlier put into bat first, Peshawar were all out for 213 runs in 54.3 overs with Azam Khan scoring 69 runs while Afaq Ahmed added unbeaten 34, Gohar Ali 24 and Israrullah and Adil Amin 22 runs each. Zohaib Shera clinched five wickets for 55 and Rajesh Ramesh took three wickets for 64. At Abbottabad Stadium, Bahawalpur, put into bat first, finished the day on 235 for the loss of three wickets in 77 overs. Faisal Mubashir played very well and hammered unbeaten 91 laced with 12 boundaries while Rehan Rafiq added unbeaten 90 studied with 11 fours.–Staff Reporter
