LAHORE - Pakistan’s Saadi Abbas won a bronze medal in the 12th Asian Karate Championship at Dubai. According to information made available here Thursday, Saadi underlined his talent in 67kgs to beat his Chinese Taipei opponent with ease and comfort. He ran out of luck when he got injured in his semi-final bout against his rivals from Japan. On his way to the bronze, he beat opponents from Macau and China as well. Nearly 766 players drawn from 30 Asian countries have been taking part in the Asian premier activity in which Saadi is the lone participant from Pakistan. He is also gold medal winner of the of 10th Asian Karate Championship China, bronze medal winner of the 11th Asian Karate Championship, Uzbekistan and gold medal winner of Commonwealth Karate Championship, Canada.–Staff Reporter
