Islamabad - A meeting to review the work progress of Metro Bus Service project (MBSP) was held at Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Friday.

During the meeting, Package-I Islamabad (from Faizabad to Peshawar Mor), Package-III Islamabad (from Peshawar Mor to Centaurus) and Metro Bus Depot of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project were discussed in detail, informed RDA spokesman here on Friday.

DG RDA Capt (retd) Zahid Saeed reiterated the importance of speedy work and directed the contractors to speed up the work pace in order to meet the deadline. It was apprised in the meeting that structure work on Metro Bus stations is near completion and columns have been erected. He inquired contractors about the procurement of different items including glass, marble and other material.

The relevant contractors clarified that the procurement of these items is under process and ensured that work on stations of these packages will be completed in time.

Ex-MNA Hanif Abbasi urged contractors to speed up work on the project. He said Chief Minister has passed special instructions to complete the project in targeted time. He urged the contractors for sprinkling of water at least four times a day especially on service road of 9th Avenue in order to avoid dust and public inconvenience.
