ISLAMABAD- Former president Pervez Musharraf has challenged jurisdiction of Additional Sessions Court (ASC), in Ghazi Abdul Rashid murder case.
As per media report, additional sessions judge Wajid Ali is hearing Naib Khateeb, Lal Masjid, Ghazi Abdul Rashid murder case. Akhtar Shah, counsel for former president Pervez Musharraf, filed application in the court seeking exemption from attendance for one day in respect of his client.
Akhtar Shah said that this case cannot be heard in additional session’s court and trial of the case should be conducted in the court of magistrate. Additional Sessions Judge Wajid Ali remarked “ I have not received notification on hearing of the case again.”
Tariq Asad advocate counsel for the petitioner said copy of district and session’s judge order can be provided to him. The case was remanded back to this court two days back. Court should give time till 1200 hrs and the copy of the orders would be provided.
