QUETTA : Armed men gunned down a police constable here on Monday.

Gunmen opened fire on constable Ibrar near Bahadur Khan Women University when he was on his way riding a motorcycle. Ibrar succumbed to injuries on the spot. The culprits managed to escape from the scene after committing the crime.

The local administration reached the spot, shifted the body to hospital and after completing the medico-legal formalities it was handed over to heirs of the deceased. The Barwary police have registered an FIR about the incident against unidentified people and started investigation.
