SADIQABAD-The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has always raised voice for the rights of the poor at every forum and the day is not far when the party, with the public assistance, will be made an unbeatable political force of South Punjab.

JUI-F acting secretary general Maulana Amjad Khan stated while addressing a meeting with the local party leaders at Jamia Rahimia here the other day. On the occasion, he said that the JUI-F will hold a historic conference titled “Pegham-e-Islam” in Rahim Yar Khan district on December 15 to deliver the true message of Islam and unveil the conspiracies being hatched against Islam.

He said that the conference will be proved a milestone in securing the rights of madrasas and making the way clear for the enforcement of Islamic Shria in the country. He said that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will apprise the public of some important party decisions at the conference. He will also announce a strategy for the uplift of South Punjab.

On the occasion, he also urged the UN to take notice of the brutalities being committed in the held Kashmir. “With the completion of the CEPEC, our dream of making Pakistan Asian Tiger of the region will come true,” he expressed his optimism. He said the JUI-F wants to get Pakistan rid of foreign policies being hatched by the world powers, adding that the party wants Shariah enforcement in the country.

GARBAGE HEAPS: Heaps of garbage piled up with the wall of Askari Park has not only irked the pedestrians but the stink emits from the trash is also a constant disturbance for the nearby shopkeepers.During a survey, residents of the area including Sharif, Abdul Majid, Ikram, Faizan, Waqas and Ahmed told this correspondent that due to alleged negligence of the tehsil council, heaps of garbage have been piled up with the wall of Askari Park. They said that the trash is not only a hurdle in the way of pedestrians but the dirty smell emitting from the garbage also has made the lives of nearby residents and shopkeepers miserable.

They demanded the DCO to take notice of the negligence and ordered the officials concerned to lift the garbage as soon as possible.
