KARACHI - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Monday denied the reports that former PPP leader Zulfiqar Mirza was rejoining the PPP.

He said the reports that the Mirza family was bridging the gap and joining the PPP were baseless. “The PPP is a realistic party and it does not run its affairs on speculations,” he said. He said the PPP had not made any contact with the Mirza family. He said the PPP worked with committed workers and it did not need those who had betrayed the party leadership.

“People of the province are with the PPP and there is no space for those who betrayed the party,” he said. He asked the media not to spread such baseless news.

Khuhro said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should accept four demands of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari otherwise the party would launch the Go Nawaz Go movement after December 27. “Nawaz Sharif is running the affairs of the country like a businessman and it is due to his policies that the country’s integrity has been marred at the international level,” he said.
