A gang of thieves busted,weapons recovered

Islamabad - Bhara Kahu police have busted a gang of thieves and recovered valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from their possession, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

He said that a police team constituted by SP (City) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh arrested three men involved in several theft incidents at the houses and shops located at Simly Dam, Murree Road and other areas.

The team also recovered valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees and a 30-bore pistol from them.

The accused identified as Asif, Arif and Niaz have confessed their involvement in the crimes.

Furthermore, Noon police have arrested three outlaws and recovered 15 kilogram hashish and weapons from their possession.

A special team headed by DSP Ghulam Mustafa while conducting a check at a bus stop near ‘Jhungi Syedan’ arrested two drug pushers identified as Raza, a resident of Peshawar and Latif, a resident of Charsada.

The police also recovered eight kilogram and seven kilogram hashish from them, respectively. Meanwhile, another accused Hanan, a resident of Qila Gujar Singh, was held for posessing a pistol.

Khanna police arrested two motorbike lifters identified as Imran and Aziz and recovered a stolen bike (VN-359) from their possession.

Sabzi Mandi police arrested Rafaqat Nazir in possession of 220 gram heroin.

Shehzad Town police arrested Humayun Khawar for possessing a 30-bore pistol. Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons while further investigation is underway.
