More than 400 Traffic assistants have been recruited in the city traffic police department, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

The recruits, including 390 male traffic assistants and 22 female traffic assistants, were welcomed by Chief Traffic Officer, Rai Ejaz Ahmad at the Syed Ahmad Mobin Police Lines at Manawan. Several senior traffic officers and wardens were also present on this occasion.

Lahore CTO Rai Ejaz Ahmad, while addressing the young traffic officers, said that the traffic police department would provide all resources and facilities to ensure best training and education for the recruits at the police training school. The recruits will be provided food and accommodation at the school.

Rai Ejaz said that the latest addition of new traffic officers would help city police manage traffic control in the metropolis more effectively.
