PESHAWAR - Amir Saeed has won the Kalam Snow Cross Jeep Rally with a large number of people thronged the scenic valley to witness the thrilling show.
Besides Amir, Raja Anwar secured second slot while Liaqat Ali bagged the third position. Lt Col Ayaz Wali graced the occasion as chief guest and later, he gave away awards and prizes to the position holders. The Tourism Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan Army and Islamabad Jeep Club (IJC) had jointly organised the event to provide the people with an opportunity for entertainment and adventure tourism. The jeep racers on the occasion tested their skills and versatilities on the track established by organisers for the drivers.
The rally was managed by the Swat district administration with the aim to provide a platform to the young and budding enthusiasts in the country who want to have a terrain similar to those found in the European region. The jeep racers from Peshawar, Lahore, Islamabad and elsewhere from across the country participated in the rally. The participants were divided into three categories as they had different engine power jeeps from 3500CC to 2600CC. The women racers also took part in the event.
