Supreme Court resumed hearing of Asma Rani murder case today as Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa (KP) police submitted investigation report before the court.

As hearing resumed, the court once again ordered KP police to give deadline for resolution of case. "A young girl was murdered but still there is not development in it," the court observed.

The top court expressed dissatisfaction over performance of KP police stating that provincial police failed to provide security to people.

Furthermore, the apex court asked about arrest of prime suspect Mujahid who fled to Middle East after killing MBBS student.

"How much time will take to bring the main suspect back to Pakistan?" the court asked. Upon this DG FIA stated that is not clear yet whether he is in Dubai or Saudi Arabia and government has to issue Red Warrant for him.

Meanwhile, Supreme Court summoned PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary with reference to the case. "He praised KP police a lot and we want to hear the qualities of police from him," the court remarked.

The court has ordered Chaudhary to be in the court today.
