Sindh feels for Kashmiris

BADIN - Political, religious parties and civil society took out rallies to express solidarity with Kashmiris to mark Kashmir Day, here on Monday.

Badin district administration and political parties held rallies across the district.

The participants carried party flags, banners and raised slogans in favour of Kashmiris in front of Badin Press Club. The rally was led by Badin Deputy Commissioner Dr Shehzad Tahir Thaheem, SSP Abdul Qayum Pitafi, ADC-I Dr Ali Nawaz Bhoot, ADC-II Abdul Hameed Mughal and others.

Speaking on the occasion, the representatives said: “Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan and We will continue to support Kashmiris for their right of self-determination.”

The participants vowed to extend all possible support to the people of Kashmir in their struggle for securing their right to self-determination and urged heads of all Muslim states to take up the issue at all forums.

SHIKARPUR

Shikarpur district administration also expressed solidarity with Kashmiris at Lakhidar Clock Tower.

Rally was led by Shikarpur Assistant Commissioner Javeed Anwar Shaikh. Speaking on the occasion, Javeed Anwar Shaikh, Nadeem Shaikh, and others said that: “Kashmir is unbreakable part of Pakistan and Kashmiris are not alone in this struggle.” They said that the struggle would be continued until freedom.

They demanded the United Nations to take notice of atrocities of Indian government. A large number of officers and officials belonged to Information Department, Education Department, Health Department and others participated in the rally.

On the other hand, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamait-e-Islami (JI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F), Imamia Students Organisation [ISO], and other political parties also took out rallies in favour of Kashmiris.

KANDHKOT

Like other parts of the country Kashmir Day was observed across the Kashmore.

The rallies were taken out in various areas of Kashmore, Kandhkot, Tangwani, Guddu and Ghouspur to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir. Participants were carrying effigies of Modi and were chanted slogans against Indian government.

Addressing on occasion, speakers paid a rich tribute to the martyrs of the Kashmir who had laid their lives for the independent and condemned the violation of the Indian in Kashmir. They said Pakistani would not leave them alone and always raised their voice for the brethren of Kashmir at national and international forums.

SUKKUR

A programme was organised in connection with Kashmir Day here at Sukkur which was addressed by Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan Islam Shaikh, Deputy Mayor Tariq Chohan, Ghulam Murtaza Ghanghro, Shafiq Pirzada and others.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) ladies wing held a protest at Military Road Sukkur which was lead by Shaista Khoso and others. Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) took out rally from Madressa Ghousia which was led by Mufti Muhammad Ibrahim Qadri, Musharraf Mehmood Qadri and others.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) took out rally from Muhammad Bin Qasim Park to press club Sukkur which was led by PTI District President Sukkur Mobeen Ahmed Jatoi, Abdul Rab Hashmi, Dr Rab Nawaz Kalwar, Aamir Mughal, Shahzado Bhutto, Taj Muhammad Buriro, Mehfooz Akhtar, Abdul Jabbar Jatoi, Jai Kumar and others.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F took out rally from Madressa Manzil Gah up to press club which was led by Moulana Muhammad Saleh Indhar, Mufti Saud Afzal, Hafiz Abdul Hameed Mahar, Mufti Qamaruddin, Mufti Azam Mahar, Qari Liaqat Ali Mughal, Moulana Abdul Ghaffar Soomro, Moulana Ghulam Ali and others.

Jamaat Islami Sukkur took out rally from Clock Tower up to press club which was led by district emir JI Sukkur Moulana Hizbullah Jakhro, Sultan Ahmed Lashari and others.

Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) held a programme in PML-N district secretariat Sukkur.

MIRPURKHAS

Social and political organisations including Jamat-e-Islami, National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony NPCIH, Sunni Tehreek, Defence Council Pakistan Mirpurkhas and district administration took out rallies to express solidarity with Kashmiri.

The rally was lead by JI Azeem Baloch, Allah Bachayo Maher and NPCIH Nasir Iqbal, President Qazi Muhammad Faizan Qadri, Defence Council Pakistan representative Abdullah Marri and Mirpurkhas Deputy Commissioner Zahid Hussain Memon carrying banners and placards marched through main roads and raised slogans in support of Kashmiris.

They arrived at the local press club where speakers have strongly condemned the Indian forces strike in Kashmir. They demanded the United Nations to implement the Kashmir resolution.
